Welcome to Zurich Public School

Welcome to Zurich Public School, a full service Junior Kindergarten to grade eight school located in the village of Zurich Ontario, just six kilometres inland from the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.  Our school serves children from the communities of Zurich, St. Joseph, and Dashwood, as well as the surrounding agricultural and recreational area.

At Zurich Public School we are committed to ensuring the success of every child, and to that end, we work closely with parents, families, and the community at large.  This year, as a staff, and in concert with other schools in the area, we will be focusing particularly on teaching strategies designed to improve students’ writing skill, which will surely be even more essential for our children in the future, a future that will be globally integrated, web based and in real time.  That being said, we do not lose sight of the importance of mathematics, the arts, science, French language instruction, physical education, and the development of positive citizenship qualities amongst our students.  To that end, Zurich Public School not only offers students a rigorous and diverse academic program, but also many leadership opportunities, opportunities to serve the community and the school, and also a wide range of extracurricular activites.  In short, at Zurich Public School, we continue the long standing tradition of providing every student with a world class education right here in Huron Country.
